Mom was, well Mom was & is simply the best. She has </div> <div> to be, I am the youngest of seven.  You haven't tried a chocolate chip </div> <div> cookie till you've tried hers.That's right, my mom's are better than yours. </div> <div> I went to Catholic school through 8th grade, then graduated West High </div> <div> in '78.  I also met my wife in 1978, well....I knew her before but we really</div> <div> didn't like each other then.  Yes, there's a story there, no, you won't hear </div> <div> it.  We were engaged in 7 months and we got married in 1980.  </div> <div> Just before that I had spent a year ('78 to '79)living in Boston attending </div> <div> Northeast Broadcasting School. An experience I'll never forget or regret </div> <div> & I met some of the greatest friends in my life there.</div> <div>      My wife was really the backbone of the business in the early years. </div> <div> She came to every function I did, lugged sound equipment and set up </div> <div> stages plus a hundred other behind the scenes things.</div> <div> This was B.C. (Before Children)</div> <div>   After our first son was born I started hiring help to set up.  This was still </div> <div> before anything was compact. And it wasn't long before son #2 came along.</div> <div> Now, both sons help out occasionally with setting up and my wife is still and </div> <div> always has been doing a lot of the "little things" that make everything work.</div> <div>      With the new millenium came new changes in my (and my family's) life.</div> <div> On July 7th, 2000 our grandson was born & my heart stolen. Yes, DJ Mike</div> <div> Cote is grandfather, but a verry young, verrrry cool grandfather : )</div> <div>  "Apple of my eye" or "Shining star" doesn't come close to what he means </div> <div> to me. Life just seems to get better when ever we're together. He loves</div> <div> cars & music...as soon as he could walk he figured out how to power </div> <div> up my amp to let me know he wanted to dance! Any way, before I turn </div> <div> this into a proud grandfather's ramblings I'll stop here.</div> <div>      The other big change came in 2002. For two years I had been working</div> <div> for a friend of mine, Gerry Fitzgerald of Fitzgerald Advertising. Gerry had</div> <div> been a very good & true friend of mine for a number of years. </div> <div> Unfortunately, in December of 2001, Gerry passed away following heart</div> <div> surgery. I lost a good friend, but the world lost one of the truly "Good guys".</div> <div> Through a few turns of events, I ended up taking over several of the</div> <div> accounts I had been servicing and I founded Crossroads Advertising.</div> <div> Gerry's son, Joe, formed Fitzgerald & Associates and conitnued servicing </div> <div> the bulk of his father's accounts.Joe & I are now competitors, but very </div> <div> friendly competitors, helping each other out when possible. </div> <div>      As far as things I'm into and enjoy....music obviously, and a wider variety </div> <div> than ever.  You can never be quite sure what you'll find me listening to.  </div> <div> I love jazz,world music like Ladysmith Black Mambazo and reggae. </div> <div> Did I mention Jimmy Buffett? Yes, I guess I'm a Parrothead. But you could</div> <div> just as easily find me listening to Sinatra, the Stones, Bare Naked Ladies,</div> <div> Elton John or Shaggy (whom I've been a fan of for years). I'm also a </div> <div> constant reader.  Stephen King, Anne Rice, John Grisham, James Patterson,</div> <div> Clive Cussler, Arthur C. Clarke & Isaac Asimov are among my favorites.</div> <div>      I guess I am into antiques and relics a bit too. I have several beautiful </div> <div> Victrolas, a few relics of Egyptian artwork some of which date as far back</div> <div> as 2500 BC, and several other pieces.  I don't buy any of these for their </div> <div> monetary value, but to own a piece of history and to appreciate the past. </div> <div> Also, my "Mid-Life-Crisis" cure is my 1939 Chevrolet Master Deluxe. </div> <div> I was told by an antique car enthusiast I had to have a name for her, </div> <div> so her name's "Sarah", after Sarah Vaughan, one of my favorite singers </div> <div> of the 40's & 50's. </div> <div>   And I love traveling. No, I'm no world traveler, but when I get the chance...</div> <div> I'm outta here. Favorite places are definitely in the Caribbean... </div> <div> the culture, the people, the beaches and the whole general atmosphere. </div> <div> Did I mention the weather? So far Antigua & Barbados top my list.</div> <div> If I can't be there physically at least putting on a little Bob Marley brings </div> <div> me close.  I also love camping in New Hampshire's own White Mountains. </div> <div> There seems to always be something new to discover there.  I often </div> <div> think what a shame it is that more NH natives don't take the time to enjoy </div> <div> some of the world's most beautiful spots that are right </div> <div> in our back yards.</div> <div>      And like many New Englanders, I am a Red Sox fan. Always a</div> <div> roller coaster ride usually ending with "Wait till next year". </div> <div>      But the most important things in my life have nothing to do with the </div> <div> material things I've mentioned.  Like living life one day at a time. And a sense </div> <div> of humor is essential to me in dealing with work, home & life in general. </div> <div> And yes, I love a good practical joke. Put it this way, most people who </div> <div> know me well tend to get nervous when I'm standing behind them or </div> <div> I get that look in my eye ;)  </div> <div> To loosely quote a Jimmy Buffett song: </div> <div> "If we couldn't laugh we would just go insane"  </div> <div> Words I take to heart.  </div> <div>      Without out a doubt my family is what I cherish most... </div> <div> My  2 sons &  my wife and of course the latest addition, my grandson.  </div> <div> Just as important, Mom, 4 brothers, 2 sisters, a whole clan of nieces &</div> <div> nephews and fantastic in-laws.
